Al-Quran (Free) - best Quran app

This is the best Quran app so far (for me). Fast to download and less hassle. The font can be adjusted according to your preference. Though it's without Malay translation but the Indonesian wordings is just fine (very much similar and easy to understand as well). If without translation only around 6MB required so you can minimise memory space. Thanks so much for this awesome app by ISYSWAY.

No worries...all 114 surahs are here

Happy Chinese New Year 2016

Been reunited with my chinese family (my arwah mom's siblings) during my second year of marriage which was about 19 years ago (wow! lama already and that means i'll be celebrating the 20th wedding anniversary with hubby ♡♡♡♡ alhamdulillahh...)

Looking back how much the time has gone, how big the family has grown and not forgetting  how we've aged (sob sob sob) the CNY celebration is the time for us to get together, catching up how's everyone been doing for the past 1 year, sharing jokes and stories of current affairs.

Dear aunties, uncles and cousins, though we mostly meet only once a year and we differ in many ways but we'll always share the same blood ties which will foster us for many generations to come.

Gong Xi Fattt Chai 2016 to my Chia families :)

my late mom's brothers and sisters - thank you for your kindness

Shibuya crossing in KL

This evening, while waiting for Go KL free bus right infront of  Starhill Gallery at Jln Bukit Bintang, I was fascinated by the endless flow of people crossing the road to and fro between both opposites of Pavillion and Starhill. "Could it be the busiest crossing in KL?"I wonder.

I've read that the busiest crossing in the world is at Shibuya station in Tokyo as seen in below pix copied from here

So let's see how BB crossing looks like below ;). Yeah it's nothing compared to Shibuya crossing but non stop flows of pedestrians were seen anxiously waiting for the lights to turn red. And mind you the motorists, some did cross while the light was still green. Malaysia boleh maaaa.....

Sunset and seafood @ Fort Supai

Fort Supai is located at Kuala Linggi, Melaka - a place which I've never heard before, not until I came accross a blog which suggested that the food was so nice that he wanted to gobble up the empty plates as well?? And that his parents are frequenting this place all the way from KL on monthly basis?? And the sunset is breathtakingly awesome?? Tempting as it sounds "why not we go there and have a look?" l suggested to Idin and my brothers when we were lepaking at Port Dickson few months back.
It's about half an hour drive from Bayu Beach Resort (of course depending on the traffics and driving speed ;). Just go straight as if you're going to 'Melaka' after reaching Teluk Kemang until you reach T junction which indicates Tanjung Agas on the right hand side - of course you then need to turn right which not long after that you'll reach a long bridge on top of Sungai Linggi a border between Negeri Sembilan and Melaka. Tadaaa.. Now you're already in Melaka. Watch out for RTC signboard after the bridge, I think the first right turn after the bridge and here you go, Fort Supai is ever ready to greet you hehehehe..
After turning right, go straight until you see the floating restaurant at the end of the road - jalan mati la...
If you're a fan of seeing the sun going to 'sleep' then you can plan your timing and make sure you go to the floating restaurant and climb the fort to enjoy beautiful sunset ( I missed this coz by the time I reached on top of the fort 3/4 of the sun already disappeared:( - too busy taking pictures hahhaha)
There're 2 separate surau for muslims man/woman to pray so there's no trouble spending sometime there to enjoy the sunset and perform the Maghrib solat.
NOW..food part.. The main dishes are of course seafood which you can choose on your own - eg maybe you want 5 ekor of shrimps only? And the taste..suffice for me to say that it would not make me want to eat the plate larr but note this : taste + reasonable price + floating ambience + windy sea breeze + sunset view = superb dinner and I would love to come here again and again. So its tagline "rasa sekali pasti datang lagi" has been proven, for me and Idin, for that wanting to eat the plate-blogger's parents and for many others who enjoy the above equation. Wow! I'm not paid to promote them?? but sayyasuka Fort Supai hehehe..
Below info to note: 2 black peppered big crabs, 1 big squid + 10 prawns (fried with special flour) + 20++ chilli fried kupang + 1 pc grilled pari + 2 plates of rice + watermelon & orange juice + hot coffee = RM 77.50

*though all the food pictures look dark but the taste makes your smile brighter :D

My folding bike

Little red folding bike

I wrote about folding bike (here) almost a year ago  and never stopped dreaming to own one since then. Nothing syok about it, not as syok as owning a BMW like many of my peers have but it just reminds me of my primary school days - that time I owned not a second hand but may be sixth or seventh hand bicycle which can be unscrewed (literally yes, because there were 2 giant screws at the handle & middle part) into three parts which to the envy of my kampung friends hehehe. It was made in Germany and blue in colour. However there was no purpose of unscrewing the bike as it was not meant to be transported anywhere except for a ride to school!
Now few decades (waaa.. So old already ka?) later I got a brand new folding bike - thanks to Idin. Foldable and transportable;o)

So I can ride around Tasik Permaisuri or Lake Garden (here) remembering those old days...

1 bike for 2 ;)

The 'coolest' countdown to 2012 in Malaysia - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Thought it'll be a stay-at-home-countdown-to-2012 night but we decided to head on to our favourite 'lepaking' place, none other than the coolest spot in Malaysia - Genting. When we reached Genting Skyway at about 6.30pm, guess what?.. there was no queue at all so I guessed nothing unusual tonight and the crowd would not be that huge..so okay laahh..Just for info; we queued for about 45 minutes to take a 15-minutes-cable-car-ride for a fireworks show at the eve of Labour Day (30th April 2011).

But as expected the crowd seemed to grow larger and by almost midnight I could only see the heads of the people instead of the stage:( Though the performance was not so much of our sole purpose and interest going up here, it was fun to see happy faces around. Unfortunately the sole purpose was diminished and dashed away by thick foggy atmosphere which we used to love (but not tonight..arghhh..), so we couldn't enjoy the fireworks show as it was postponed to half an hour after midnight. In order to avoid long queue getting down via Skyway cable car, we inched our way out from the still-waiting-with-full of hope-to-see-the-fireworks crowd - thanks to ladies and gentlemen who cleared the passage for us to move out. Though Mr Foggy was not so sporting tonight we still enjoyed the experience. We'll come back for you Mr Foggy, soon!

where's the stage?

happy faces

joining the happy faces

Genting, peace yo..

My coolest babe..no, he's not Mr Foggy he he he

Happy New Year to everyone!

15th Anniversary

Diam tak diam dah sampai hujung September 2011. Kira sempat lagi nak sumbat at least satu entri untuk bulan ni. Diam tak diam jugak dah 15 tahun saya hidup berdua-duaan dengan pak we pujaan hati he he he. Setiap bulan September, kitorang wajib beli kek untuk celebrate kononnye - tak kira la kek apa, cup cake pun ada jugak kot tapi tak ingat tahun bila tu.

Untuk kali ni, setelah pusing 2,3 kali kat Setiawangsa baru terjumpa kedai kek (ada satu kedai kek je kat sini?), chop..dah lupa pulak nama kedai tu (masa tengah type ni), tapi yang pasti kedai tu dekat ngan kedai mamak Ali Maju (ni memang tak boleh lupa).

Tadaaaa... tu dia kek blueberry cheezzzze, makan pun tak larat abizzz he he he

Happy Anniversary to Ina & Idin...
